It is with great pleasure that I introduce Rachel Pruett, Women’s Ministry Director.

Ann’s comments:

Rachel has a passion for God’s word and for teaching and encouraging women to apply the Word as their compass for living life. Her desire is for women to grow in their love for Jesus. She is creative, energetic and organized. A huge bonus is her transparency and sense of humor. There is nothing like humor to keep life in perspective and to create an atmosphere for spiritual growth. I am confident that God has called Rachel who is a woman after His own heart.

Rachel says this about herself:

I am a native North Texan and have been married to Stan, a Denton firefighter, for 25 years. We have 2 teenage daughters, Mikayla and Chloe, and I consider getting to disciple and to invest in them my greatest joy and most important ministry.

In 1987, while attending UNT, I became involved in Campus Crusade for Christ, which ignited a fire in me to grow in my understanding of the word and to walk in obedience to it. With this passion for the word I also had a passion to minister to others. This led me to Denton Bible Church.

I enjoy traveling with my family, hiking, and anything art related. As a young girl, my dream was to become a Dairy Queen girl, so even though it doesn’t involve Dilly Bars or Blizzards, becoming the Director of Women’s Ministry will exceed my goals in life.

Her family rises up and calls her blessed:

Stan: “After the free gift of salvation, God’s next best blessing to me has been through my wife, Rachel. She has always encouraged me to grow in my faith while she strives to be obedient to God’s direction.”

Mikayla: “My mom has always been there for me and she is the best role model a girl could ask for.

Chloe: “My mom has always made sure that I can live my life to the fullest and has always been passionate about both my sister’s life and mine. When my mother is passionate about something, she gives her all to make it the best it can possibly be.

Her friend Molly says:

Rachel is very creative and has an adventurous spirit. She loves God’s word, loves to teach scripture and art. She strives for excellence and she knows how to enjoy life.

I can’t wait for you to meet Rachel and to welcome her as Women’s Ministry Director.
